About julianne d. bresciani

With a background in fashion and social work, Julianne D. Bresciani has combined her love of flowers, gardening, and yoga into a meditative art form of garden photography. Most of the photographs come from Ms. Bresciani’s garden in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts. With this in mind, it is clear in viewing her work that this woman has an intimate relationship with each of the flowers that she photographs.

A long time meditator with a passion for flowers and beauty, Ms. Bresciani claims that her garden and photographs evolved from her years of meditation.  While all artists work are generally self reflective, Ms. Bresciani takes this a step further by naming her pieces with the qualities that seem to resound within each of us as human beings. She takes us on a journey and invites the viewer to be touched and moved by the generosity of nature and that presence within. Most of her work is signed “from the heart of my garden, to the garden of your heart”.

Ms. Bresciani’s photographs are fresh, alive, and vibrant. These large-scale museum quality images are suitable for either contemporary or traditional environments inviting the viewer to be soothed by the silence of nature. The work is mounted with plexi glass, a one step process, wherebythe photograph and the plexi are all one. This ensures the archival quality, highest clarity, and colors that just pop! These pieces are not only decorative but functional as well as they bring the stillness and peace of nature within.

This artist has a thirty year history of gardening, yoga, and photography. Her work has been in galleries and juried shows and has been on Berkshire Community Radio. Julianne’s garden was part of the Lenox Garden Club Tour in 2008. She was featured on the cover of The Artful Mind, a Berkshire art publication in August 2009. A “mid life flower child”, Ms. Bresciani feels fulfilled with the evolution of so many passions in her art and creative endeavors.
